HEROware Live Failover from SMB Nation Presentation
This is an actual failover from a live presentation at the SMB Nation 2010 Spring Show. You will witness a member of the audience unplugging the production server and after 25 seconds the HEROware BCA asks the Administrator, Target server HEROBCA is protecting source server HEROsbs and a failover condition has been met. Would you like to failover now? Then, after "Yes" is clicked the HEROware BCA applies the System State and then reboots. When the HEROware BCA comes back up after exactly 7 minutes and 49 seconds (you time it), it "is" the Production Server. The client has lost no data and has been down less than 15 minutes. Harry Brelsford Visits HEROware
Harry Brelsford visits HEROware to discuss the HEROware Business Disaster Recovery solution, the HERO BCA Continuity Appliance. The HERO BCA Continuity Appliance uses Double-Take software to mirror the user's primary server on a real-time basis, including producing a usable "Cloud" version at HEROware's remote location. In the event of a failure of the user's server the HERO BCA Continuity Appliance reboots and becomes the user's server, utilizing the same OS and any other applications (including "home grown" apps) that were on the original server. If there is a total disaster the user can operate all of their systems from the cloud, via a secure VPN, until a new HERO BCA Continuity Appliance, with a mirrored-copy of the original server has been overnighted to the user by HEROware.
